Choose what happens on failure

Use Do not publish without attribution to block a post when preparation fails, or explicitly choose Fall back to original URL and accept the recorded attribution warning.

Shorten after preparation

Use Monthly Links, connected Bitly, or no shortener. Existing recognized tracking links are preserved; prepared affiliate URLs remain attributed when Bitly falls back to Monthly Links.
